Prostitution is the act of performing sexual activity in exchange for money. Is this a being bad? Well in my opinion it is. When you hear the word prostitution it makes me think of young girls, half naked on the streets selling their bodies. This is illegal in the UK, but it is a way of earning money. Prostitution is in itself dangerous. Risk of being raped, attacked or contracting a sexual transmitted disease is very common. Prostitution is quite common in the area where I live; but has reduced since the 90’s. Police patrols have been put in place to ensure that kerb crawlers are caught and dealt with accordingly. Prostitution is not a way of life but a way of survival. Women who sell their bodies don’t do it because they like it; but it’s a means to an end.
