Child Abuse, is an evil act, and is considered as being very bad. The NSPCC is an organization that helps children who are being abused. According to statistics 7% of children experienced serious physical abuse at the hands of their parents or carers during childhood; while 1% of children experienced sexual abuse by a parent or carer and another 3% by another relative during childhood. This a scary statistic, family members abusing children; but what is the reason for why they commit this terrible act? One main reason is because the abuser has been abused themselves when they were children or teenagers. They see abusing children to be the norm. Another shocking statistic is that one to two children every week die from cruelty and that on an average of every ten days one child is killed by their parents in the UK.
